You will find a great deal of information on that website with regards to many of our functions. There are two core strands to the departmental business, those of the Mining industry and the Energy industry in Queensland. Another core part of our functions is the monitoring of safety issues in the gas, mining and explosives industries.

The mining side of the website covers alot of industry information regarding the mining industry, such as statistics, legislation, safety issues and information for the general public. The energy side of the website covers topics from power generation in Queensland, energy pricing issues and explanations through to energy conservation ideas and suggestions.

One of the online resources that is featured on our website is the Interactive Resource & Tenure Maps, an online mapping tool where you can examine mining areas across Queensland, current mineral/coal/petroleum exploration areas and much more relevant geological information.
