FRASER COAST COUNCIL INJECTS DOLLARS INTO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

Council supports local business

Council has spent $51.4 million this financial year, providing business opportunities for more than 1,400 local suppliers.

Council also injected $42 million into the economy via wages and salaries for the organisation’s 500 workers.

With the Rudd Government implementing its new IR legislation, the Fair Work Act, from 1 July, Cheryl-Anne Laird of Livingstones presented a topical presentation on the changes that are relevant to employers, focusing on unfair dismissal, award modernisation and the new national employment standards.
