The meeting was held at the TAFE Maryborough campus today 29th May 2009 from 10:30AM TO 12:30PM

Pauline Rees and Councillor O’Connel both had steered the discussions to relevant issues and maintained a focus on the agenda set prior to the meeting.

The subjects generally were revolving around:-

1…Job training and opportunities.

2…Tourism to the region.

3…Encouraging business to the areas we represent.

4…Cohesive & stimulating approach to promoting our region.

5…Application for a grant to promote the region.

A number of attendees spoke on areas of their expertise to the gathering and it was moved that a steering committee be formed as well as a project management committee to oversee the application of the principles so formulaated in these meetings of the minds.
