This sign has been looking at me for 22 years every time I go to Hervey Bay from the Bruce Highway. It is situated in the Craignish area on the main road leading to Hervey Bay.
It is such a let down that nobody in The Fraser Coast Regional Council has noticed or done anything about it. It is one of two ways that visitors gain access from the Bruce Highway to Hervey Bay. One from Torbanlea & the other from the Burrum District or road.
Please correct me if I am wrong.. Even if I am not right in some respects the sign needs urgently to be redone or replaced. The sign entry to Hervey Bay from Maryborough I am told cost around $70,000. THIS ONE WOULD COST PROBABLY UNDER $1K TO FIX.
Read my lips guys. Not all visitors to Hervey Bay come via Maryborough.
The Virgin or Greyhound bus uses ‘this sign route’ sometimes & we would be seen as a joke.
