You are invited to participate in a Keep Australia Working forum, being hosted by the Parliamentary Secretary for Employment, the Hon Jason Clare MP and Business Leader Mr Lindsay Fox.
Tuesday, 13 October 2009
9:30am for a 10am start – concluding 12:30pm
Hervey Bay Boat Club
Buccaneer Drive, Urangan, Queensland
The purpose of Keep Australia Working forums is to bring together key local business and community leaders to discuss how to:

  • maximise the impact of the stimulus package
  • support existing jobs and industry
  • promote new opportunities, new industry and new skills

  • identify what new skills need to be developed.
The forums are playing a major role in helping to activate local communities, with key stakeholders working together to create and maintain jobs and maximise opportunities created by the Government’s economic stimulus measures.
By attending the forum you will be playing a major role in identifying solutions to local employment problems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of the Regional Employment Plan for the Bundaberg-Hervey Bay priority employment area being written by the Local Employment Coordinator.
